HHP Anchors: AC 14, GS, Offdrill II, Lightweight, Norshore etc. Anchors are considered as high holding power when recognized by the classification societies with as offering a set performance with 25% reduction in their weight. In the proof load tables this factor is already incorporated and you need only to introduce the actual weight of the anchor

OTHERS TYPES OF ANCHORS

To find the proof load of other type of anchors with stock such as Anclotes, Single fluke, Almirantazgo etc. and not considered to be high holding power you will discount the weight of the stock and consider the resulting net weight as if it were a standard anchor. As a rule of thumb the stock may be considered to be one fifth of the total weight.
